"Dance with My Father" is the RIAA Gold-certified title rail to singer and songwriter Luther Vandross' 13th studio album. With Richard Marx, Vandross wrote the song based on his personal feel. The lyrics retrieve babyhood memories with Vandross' father, who used to trip the light fantastic toe with him and his female parent.

Vandross wrote "Dance with My Father" with Marx, based on his personal experience.
